Lina grew up in Manasquan, where she attended Manasquan Elementary School and graduated from Manasquan High School, her obituary says.
She then moved to Florida to pursue a career in the restaurant service industry.
Lina was remembered for her one-of-a-kind sense of humor sprinkled with unmatchable wit. She was also a skilled athlete and participated in a number of competitive cheerleading teams throughout the Garden State, her memorial says.
Lina’s personality was described as “undeniably magenetic.” Her powerful love for her family and friends was unlike anything else, and she consistently put others before herself.
Lina is survived by her loving mother and stepfather, Lisa and Michael Morris; her grandparents, Patricia Moat and Thomas Greene, and Baya Zermane; her sister, Farah; her brother and sister-in-law, Adam and Emma; her nephew and niece, Oliver and Everly; and her stepbrother, Robert Morris.
Tributes for Lina poured in on social media:
Lina’s memorial will be held at O’Brien Funeral Home in Wall on Saturday, Nov. 26.
“I am so devastated and so heartbroken,” reads a tribute from Jimmy Rodgers. “You’ve been my best friend through thick and thin. The memories and the bonds we shared together will never go away, you’ve always had a piece of my heart….I love you so much Lina Zermane. My best friend, my angel.”
